Have you started trying to locate all of the necessary documents to file your taxes?  A few receipts in your desk drawer?  A few more on your dresser? What about that pile of 'stuff' on top of the fridge?  Crammed in the dash of your car?  You know the scenario.  Now is the time you realize how disorganized your important, financial documents are.
 

Filing our Income Tax Returns is generally not something we enjoy, however, if you are organized it can be a lot less painful and frustrating.  If you're starting this year without any preparation, it could take a considerable amount of time to locate all required documents.  Chances are, there will be one or two pieces of missing receipts that you can't get your hands on.  This can cost you money and time - especially if you locate them a week or two later and run them into your tax professional.  What if you miss out on a tax benefit you are entitled to but can't find have 'that piece of paper' you need? Very few of us...

Don't forget that January is officially Get Organized month!  I'm sure you've been busy cleaning and organizing lots of spaces in your home and office.  Maybe you've thought a lot about it, but haven't quite yet 'gotten around to it yet'??  Not to worry!  Today we're sharing a list of our top organizing products to help get you organized. There are numerous, wonderful items to help you get organized, however, today we are going to focus on the top products we absolutely love.

Bins & Baskets

We can't say enough about baskets and bins. They can be used in laundry rooms, kitchens, basements, kids rooms, bedrooms, living room, EVERY room!  Larger, plastic bins are great for storing seasonal items, clothing, blankets, etc.  We prefer using see-thru bins so you can tell at a glance what's in them – saving you from pulling each one down and opening it until you find what you're looking for.  Labelling your bins – which we strongly suggest – will save you lots of time and energy...

Did you know that January is National Get Organized Month? Indeed it is and what perfect timing!  As we move forward into 2017 with our resolutions fresh in our minds, it's the perfect time of year to make a promise to ourselves that THIS is the year to organize our homes, our offices, our cars, and even our little fur babies.  In fact, with determination and a little guidance from us, you will learn how to organize and prioritize, save money and time, and best of all - learn how to love the space you're living in with a lot less stress.  What a perfect and obtainable goal as we celebrate  2017 with a fresh, new outlook on life!

Let's start with a few questions that will help guide you throughout the entire process of organizing and decluttering your home.  I've referred to it many times and keep a copy on my desk next to me so I can always stay on track.  Even professional organizers need a little reminder every now and then!

We are pleased to announce that we now offer free printable lists and planners!  

As you know, we just love staying organized and on top of things here at Organize My Chaos.  We use these lists in our daily work and personal lives, and thought we'd share them with the world!  

Whether it's a meal planner or a budget and expense list, we have given you five new lists to get you started... and there are many more coming soon!  Print them and display them - or add them into a binder or an Action Items folder, and enjoy!
